Anatomy of Fruits?
When I first checked out this blog I was puzzled by what the animations were - some kind of computer-generated fractals inspired by fruit? It turns out that they are MRI images of fruit and vegetables, and the weird wonderful shapes are serial sections through the insides of these foods. That's what they look like before you cut them open! Reminds me of happy times sectioning celery stalks for biology lab using a straight razor.... The anatomy of fruit has always fascinated me; this is certainly great stuff for illustrating a botany lesson. Be sure to see the 3D durian.
