The Convention on Biological Diversity released its
Global Biodiversity Outlook 3 report on Monday, 10 May. The new report assesses the future of the Convention, which was first adopted in 1992 at Rio de Janeiro, and measures progress towards the Convention's
2010 Biodiversity Target. Needless to say, no government has claimed to have fully reached its targets.
